+ potatoes (think 1-2 per person & multiply from there)
1) Do all your prep: Scrub and peel (optional) the potatoes. Cube them (size doesn't matter, but the smaller they are the faster they cook.) And core and chop the cauliflower
2) Add everything to a large pot of salted water. Add a clove or two of garlic if you want.
3) Cook until everything is fork tender (softer is fine, it'll be easier to mash) Drain and add back to the pot. Start with a splash of milk and a pad of butter and heat until the milk in warm. Mash until creamy. Adding splashes of milk as you go if you prefer a looser mash. Taste and adjust the seasoning and add more butter to taste.
